It’s getting harder every day to find Bubinga with such a beautiful texture. That’s why I’m so pleased to be able to show you these beautiful bubinga sheets with pommelée figuring. Approx. dimensions 1,500 x 900 x 55 mm (59 x 35 x 2.16 inches).

Bubinga (Guibourtia tessmannii) comes from Cameroon, Gabon and the Congo in Central and West Africa. The species of Guibourtia are evergreen and reach heights between 130 and 165 feet. The straight, cylindrical stems reach lengths of 80 feet and the trunk can be 3 to 6 feet across. These trees have a few buttress roots that can be up , up to 8 feet tall. The heartwood has a reddish color dark ranging from pale reddish to deep red. The sapwood is white to bright yellow. It is also known as African rosewood, although it does not belong to this genus.
The wood is very hard and heavy, but it is be worked well.
