Coolibah (Eucalyptus coolabah) is found all over Australia, but especially along waterways that do not dry out. The name comes from the Kamilaroi language. The tree grows between 60 and 75 feet tall and has the elongated leaves typical of the eucalyptus.
The wood is hard and dense with a color that can vary greatly from brown to red and intermediate shades. Its texture can also vary greatly from very fine and free of cracks to a relatively coarse texture with some cracks.

Finely grained wood may contain imperfections such as open knots, bark inclusions, or cracks that are typical of the species. These flaws come from the way the tree has grown and are completely natural. They can usually be filled with low-viscosity cyanoacrylate (super glue) and wood dust.
