Hybridwood consists partly of wood and partly of acrylic and/or epoxy resins in various colors. The two materials are bonded together using a special high-pressure process. The resulting hybrid material is easy to work with and retains its shape well. You may need to resharpen your tools more frequently. To achieve stunning visual effects, ground mother-of-pearl is sometimes used, which tends to dull sharp, cutting tools more quickly than usual.
We have manufactured the blank offered here for you in-house using a complex process.
The red mallee (Eucalyptus oleosa) is one of the common eucalyptus trees in Australia. The mallee occurs mainly in southwest Australia. The tree reaches heights between 50 and 65 feet.
The wood is very hard, dense, and ranges from light red to dark red in color. The grain also ranges from coarse to fine. It is good to work with when using sharp tools and polishes nicely.

Finely grained wood may contain imperfections such as open knots, bark inclusions, or cracks that are typical of the species. These flaws come from the way the tree has grown and are completely natural. They can usually be filled with low-viscosity cyanoacrylate (super glue) and wood dust.
